We got camp packed up again, this morning (for the last time, too!) and then walked over the dunes to the beach to play for a little bit before our next adventure. The water was really cold, but the kids had fun getting their feet wet and finding sand dollars all over the beach. We spent about an hour out there before heading back and washing off at camp.
Our next stop was the Hollywood sign. None of them had been before, and I think they didn’t believe me when I told them they couldn’t actually go up to the sign and climb on the letters, so they were a little disappointed by the lameness of the stop, but still thought it was kinda cool at the same time. They each wanted their picture in front of the sign, but of course, where we parked, we had a great view, but not really the right line of sight to put them and the sign both in the picture well… so we got heads and signs, even with my wide angle lens. Ha ha. Oh well.
After the sign, we made a pit stop in Brea to check into our hotel room. Then we grabbed dinner at In-n-out, which we ate in the car on our way to the Angels game! The boys love baseball, and the Angels are my favorite team. We got an awesome deal on tickets, and it was free hat night! Since it was their 50th anniversary, the hats had all the old school Angels logos on them. Way cool! And even better, the Angels won.
