Jerry found a cool church for us to attend this morning. The Rock is a huge church in San Diego. Huge. We took the kids and got them off to each of their classes, and Jerry and I got to listen to a great message. The kids all had a great time, and Nate and Kyndall got invited to the Junior High Fellowship night at La Jolla beach on Tuesday where they are going to barbecue, surf, make smores, and have a bible study. It sounds like fun, and they are really looking forward to it.
Last time we were in California, we took the kids to the museums at Balboa Park and they were pretty impressed with the Spreckles Organ Pavilion so we took them back today. We got there in time to eat lunch and hear the free Organ concert they put on every Sunday afternoon.
We went to my Aunt Teri and Uncle Jim’s house to have dinner with them, my cousin Courtney and Grandpa Tom. The kids had a great time playing crochet in the yard with Uncle Jim, and then after dinner, they got to make smores in the fire pit. We were still visiting when it got dark so Uncle Jim brought out his telescope and since Jerry packed ours (which was still in the van, under the seats) we got that out too. We checked out the moon, Saturn, some stars, and a satellite
