The first half of our vacation was a pretty big adventure, with lots of sightseeing and driving. This second half is time we’ve planned to spend with family in San Diego. It was a pretty uneventful day, today. This morning, after letting the kids swim in the hotel pool, we packed up and headed for Lakeside. We made a pit stop in Temecula and my best friend, Lisa, met up with us for lunch. After our long lunch stop (like 2 hours!), we finished our drive to Lakeside where we unloaded the van and set up sleeping arrangements. My Uncle Mark parked his camping trailer in Nana and Grandpas yard for us, so we got the kids situated in there and Jerry and I took the spare bedroom in the house. We went to La Posta, one of my favorite local restaurants, and got some much needed Mexican food for dinner. Mmmm. You just can’t get it like that in Colorado.
