It’s 11/11/11 and my best friend is 30! How cool is that?!?!? We had so much fun today. It started out good, got a little crazy, but then turned out to be an awesome day. Jerry and I woke up around 6:30am and went to the park for a run, since we couldn’t do it on Thursday. After our run, we met Grandpa Vince at the Lakeside Café for breakfast, but when we were leaving to head back to his house we got stopped in the parking lot by a guy who noticed that we had a flat tire on Grandpa’s spare truck that he’d loaned to us for the weekend. Bummer… we went back to the house, anyway, to air it up, but Jerry found a giant nail in it. It wasn’t going to hold air and be safe to drive on, so we decided to put the spare on. This also turned out to be flat, and after airing it up, was quickly losing air. We needed to be in Murrieta (an hour away) by 11 and we didn’t have time to get the tires fixed or replaced because even though it was a Friday morning, everyone had long waits. The local rental car places didn’t have any cars either. Finally, Grandpa decided to just have us take his newer truck and he’d keep the older one and get the tires taken care of. Fortunately, we didn’t hit much traffic on the freeway, and made it to Murrieta, just as the limo was backing into the parking lot. We all hopped in, and were ready to go have a fun day. We started by having mimosa’s in the limo on our way to the first winery. Everyone was having fun, dancing around, laughing and drinking wine all day. I’m looking forward to seeing all the pictures that the limo driver took for us. I’ll have to update this post when I get some copies! It was such a fun day. Happy Birthday Lisa!
