Today was our annual cookie baking day with Grandma McMahon. Since Lily was out late last night, we got a bit of a late start, so instead of getting down to Grandma’s house by 10, we were pulling in just before noon. But other than that, the kids had a great time baking cookies with me and Grandma. They baked a Chocolate Chip triple batch, a M&M triple batch, a peanut butter with chocolate kisses double batch, and they made a dozen candy covered pretzel rods with melting chocolate and Wilton candy molds. While they were at it, I made a double batch of Oreo Truffles and a double batch of Grasshopper Truffles (using the {Oreo Truffle Recipe}, but I substituted Keebler Grasshoppers for the Oreos). The Oreo Truffles haven’t been dipped in chocolate yet, but the Grasshoppers were and they were a yummy success!
