Happy Birthday to Me! I got to spend the day at the San Diego Zoo with my Grandpa, my Husband, and our 6 kids. I grew up going to the Zoo and the Wild Animal Park all the time, so it was fun to take the kids and watch them explore. I tried to get some of the same pictures of them that I have of me when I was there as a kid too. So much fun, and great memories made. I think the kids enjoyed "helping" grandpa drive his electric scooter/wheel chair he rented for the day, just as much as they enjoyed seeing all the animals. After the Zoo, we had to ride the Balboa Park train, too. The train was empty so the kids got to each have their own car, although some chose to share theirs with some animals... We had dinner at Jack in the Box and I introduced the kids to Jack's tacos. You know the ones, 2 for $1, not sure if its even meat in the middle, and a slice of american cheese. mmm. I'm getting hungry just thinking about them. My poor husband thinks they are absolutely horrible and was convinced the kids would hate them too. haha. I won. Kyndall and Ian loved them, Tylor thought they were pretty good too. Nate said they were Ok (and that's huge coming from him). Kelsey, Caleb and Lily liked them too. I got a perfect 6/6 +1 thumbs up. I win :) For dessert we grabbed some yummy frozen yogurt at Golden Spoon. I used to go get frozen yogurt with my grandma when I would stay with her and I used to go for walks in the evenings with Caleb when he was a baby to Golden Spoon since it was across the street from our apartments. We need one in Colorado.
