Day 3 - Hoover Dam / Las Vegas

Today was a lot of driving, and site seeing again. Our first stop after leaving Laughlin was the Hoover Dam. I'd never been before so it was a fun experience for all. The kids thought it was really cool seeing all the huge power lines leading in and out of the dam. We walked across the dam, took our touristy pictures and made a quick pit stop in the gift shop, of course. Nate started collecting hats at each of our stops so we had to make sure he got one there. After the dam we headed to Las Vegas for lunch and a drive down the strip. We had lunch at In-n-Out so that the kids could enjoy a full, true California style vacation. After everyone had their fill of Double Doubles, Animal Fries, and Chocolate milkshakes we headed to the strip and decided to check out M&M World. I guess I thought there was more to it, but it turned out to be not much more than a 4 story gift shop. The kids still had fun, picked out some souvenirs, and watched a short (10 minute) 3D movie staring "Red". That ended out tour of Las Vegas and we got back on the road, this time with Lakeside, CA as our final destination. We arrived in lakeside around 10pm. Just in time to give Nana hugs and put the kids to bed.
