Our Thanksgiving break was
nice and relaxing; just what I needed. I took Wednesday off work to spend the
day with the kids, since they were out of school, too. I got up early and went
to Kettlebell, to get my workout out of the way for the day. By the time I got
home and showered, the kids were up. They had dentist appointments so we went
to those, and then spent the rest of the day hanging out, relaxing, cleaning
the house a little, and getting a jump start on some Thanksgiving dinner
baking.
Thursday morning, we put the
turkeys in the roasters and went to Loveland to run the Turkey Trot 5k where
Caleb got a PR. We stopped at Starbucks for our traditional post race coffees
and went home to finish getting ready for company. For Thanksgiving Dinner, we
had my aunt Vickie, Uncle Tom, and their grandson, Aiden; my cousin David and
his girlfriend; my mom, dad, brothers and sisters all join us. It was another
relaxing day, of visiting and eating!
We had a really lazy relaxing
day on Friday. We aren’t black Friday shoppers, so we hung out at home and
pretty much did nothing, all day. It was great. After dinner, Jerry and I ran
to Home Depot for some paint and a couple items for the basement. When we got
home, we put the kids to bed, and sat and watched movies.
On Saturday and Sunday I
spent my days in the dining room, painting and wallpapering. Not my favorite
project, but it looks pretty good, despite the nightmare that is wallpapering,
and I’m now one room closer to redecorating my whole house! Photos Soon :)
