Christmas Break - My Paint Project

I spent my Christmas break re-doing our living room. I've been wanting to paint it for a while, and this was the perfect opportunity. I had over a week off for work, so why not? I started on the 24th by buying the supplies, emptying out the room, and prepping the walls. I couldn't believe how many nail holes I patched (so not my doing, BTW)! On Christmas day, we opened some gifts with Caleb and Lily, had breakfast at my moms, and then dropped them off to spend the rest of the day with their dad... So that meant I had the whole rest of the day to get started on my painting. I got the center line all taped off, and the white section painted in before the kids got dropped off back home. Then I spent the rest of the week painting the rest of the walls red on top and tan on bottom. I love love love the red paint color! It turned out beautiful! After I got all that done, it was time to get the details worked out - very precise staff lines (yes, I did measure their exact widths and spacing), and appropriately placed music notes. If you play the notes around the room, you may recognize the chorus from Rascal Flatts "Bless the Broken Road", a personal favorite of mine - It's "Our" Song :) So yes, this is how I spent my Christmas break, and I had so much fun! On a side note, it was extra fun because my sisters Kelsey and Deanna each spent time helping me, so I got to hang out with them too! And now, for the results:
