Snow's Coming

Here we go... We haven't really had much snow to speak of, yet. But the news reports are in and as inconsistent as they may be with their individual predictions, the general consensus is Snow's coming. Yes I do realize that I have lived here, in Colorado for nearly 4 years. But the way the snow stresses me out, you'd think it's only been 4 days. It's really not that I don't like the snow; the snow is fine, as long as it melts before I get in my car. I just don't like driving in it. It's slippery, it makes other people just as nervous on the road as me, and it doubles my commute. Maybe it's just the Cali girl in me, but I really don't like dealing with the snow and all the anxiety I get when it comes. As I sit here, mid complaint, it does dawn on me that the weather channel is usually wrong about the weather unless it's reporting what's already happened... Never the less, I can't let that false sense of security calm me. I have, however, come to the conclusion that I deal with the snow much better when I don't have those bozo meteorologists guesstimating the amount of snow fall we should expect to see in the next 24-48 hours. I will end my rant here, so I can go check the news channel for about the 100th time this afternoon, but I will not relax about the storm making its way across the mountains as I type... I should just call in sick tomorrow.
