10. Describe your most embarrassing moment.

This is a hard question. I don’t embarrass easily. I guess having a dad who liked to point out to my teenage self very loudly that boys were looking at me, an attention-whore ex who liked to pretend he had Tourettes, 6 crazy and very outgoing kids, and a silly husband with no shame, I’ve become immune to embarrassment. I don’t care if the old man in the car next to me sees me rockin’ out to the radio. Admitting that I’m late to something because I got lost is just part of life, anymore. I mean, don’t get me wrong. I have moments. I’m pretty clumsy, and good at saying the wrong thing to the wrong person or just at the wrong time, and yeah, those moments can be embarrassing, but nothing sticks out to me as one of those “mortifying moments” we used to read about in our teen magazines. Remember those? Wasn’t that the title of the article, and it was in every edition. I can’t remember what magazine it was in, but I remember that most of them sounded made up, and they were almost always the same “I was wearing white shorts and got my period”, “My boyfriend tugged on a loose string of my swimsuit, but it turned out to be my tampon”, “We got walked in on, with his hand up my shirt”. Made up or not, those could be pretty traumatizing to a teenager. But I don’t have any of those stories. Does that make me boring?
