I’m not sure if the kids just
weren’t that into it this year, or what, but Halloween was pretty laid back
this year. They didn’t carve or paint pumpkins, even though I brought some home
for them. Lily was so focused on putting together a cute Cowgirl costume to
wear to school for {westward expansion day} that she never came up with a
costume idea for trick or treating. She was ok with wearing her cowgirl
costume, though, and I was too. It turned out so cute. Caleb has been obsessed
with his scream costume since we bought it 2 years ago so when he said that’s
what he wanted to wear, again, I went with it. I was hoping he’d wear his green
morph suit, and thought it would be funny if he wore it with the pumpkin head
from his {Sleepy Hollow costume}, but he did think so.
Trick or treating wasn’t a
big deal either. Lily ended up not feeling well and stayed home to hand out
candy with me after only trick or treating on our street. Caleb and Jerry went
out and did more of the neighborhood than that, but they were still back in
about an hour.
