Wall Art

I needed some new wall art, so I took a little inspiration from some of the blogs and pinterest crafts and made myself a set of silhouettes :) I love the way they turned out!

 First, I took pictures of my kids cute profiles. Then I waited until my printer was nearly out of ink, and printed the photos... Trust me, it was brilliant!

 I traced their profiles, so it was easy to see, and then cut them out.

  I took the cut outs and painted them black with acrylic paints.

  Even after 3 coats, I was still getting spots. I guess I need a different type of paint next time.

 Once the spots were filled in and the paint was dry, I glued them to glittery green scrapbook paper, and framed them.

 

  And a finishing touch - orange hair flowers for the girls :)

Now to hang them... can't wait to see how they look on the wall!
