Photo Shoot!

I took my little sister on a photo shoot today. I was feeling confident in my new found skills and was ready to get out and give it a go. I'm pretty pleased with the results. I definitely see room for improvement though. Plus I got to spend all morning with my sister and we had a blast. There is a sunflower field on the side of the road on my commute to work and when I saw it getting big and full, I kept thinking how I'd love to take some pictures of it. Sunflowers are my favorite, after all. So I talked Kelsey into going down at sunrise hoping to get some pretty pink skies. We did ok on time, but really should have started earlier. By the time we really got into our groove the sun was up high enough to be putting some harsh shadows in the way so that was a pain to work around and they still got the better of some shots. From there we moved to downtown Longmont and did some pictures on the patio of a tavern and in front of some buildings.
